Pani was delighted to attend the Water Environment Federation's annual Technology Exhibition & Conference - WEFTEC - in Chicago from October 18th to 20th, in partnership with BlueTech Research, as one of their Innovation Showcase companies, with a booth located in the Innovation Pavilion neighbourhood.
Attendees from Pani, pictured above, from left to right:
Mariko Kobayashi, Head of Product Delivery
Igor Kusljic, Head of Sales & Business Development
Jennifer Koide, Growth & Strategy
Devesh Bharadwaj, CEO
According to the WEFTEC website, "WEFTEC is the world's most comprehensive gathering of water quality professionals and thought leaders, featuring the sector's leading conference program and a variety of valuable networking opportunities. WEFTEC exhibitors represent the most comprehensive array of products and services in the water quality industry."
This year was the first in-person event since the COVID19 pandemic began, and the Pani team enjoyed meeting new and existing clients, partners, and participating in the enormous selection of activities -- from panel discussions to the Innovation Pavilion Croc Tank, where BlueTech's showcase companies pitch their technologies to our esteemed judging panel, much like the TV show Shark Tank.
BlueTech posted "We believe our #WEFTEC 2021showcase companies to be the most promising and impactful #watertechnology companies out there today – but can they win over the panel of business experts, including investors and customers, in the #WEFTEC Croc Tank pitching sessions?
Each company will pitch for 3-5 minutes, after which the panel will grill them about their business model, technology, marketing strategy and more. Nothing is off limits in these lightning-fast pitches which are one of the quickest ways to meet our selected #Innovation Pavilion companies."
Pani pitched alongside Biobot Analytics, Typhon Treatment Systems Limited, KETOSDigital Water Solutions Inc. and 3RWater.
Devesh also enjoyed the opportunity to speak alongside Ralph Exton, CMO at SUEZ, in a panel conversation moderated by Nidhi Menon (Imagine H2O) on scaling water solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
When scaling your solution in the Asia-Pacific, there is no “one size fits all” approach. Each region has its own unique opportunities and challenges. However, there are plenty of lessons learned from those that have already paved the way. This session will feature two different perspectives around water innovation -- the CEO of an early stage startup and an executive of a global corporation. Devesh Bharadwaj (CEO, Pani Energy) and Ralph Exton (Chief Marketing Officer, SUEZ) will discuss how their organizations have successfully entered new markets and expanded their global reach. What lessons do these speakers have to share with the water innovation community? What are the processes that work? What role can you play to ensure innovation succeeds and delivers lasting impact when accessing new markets?
